Yard Sale

Tomorrow starts our Big Yard Sale in Kentucky. It's on Hwy. 68 and goes for over 400 miles. Yes, I'll be there. I've gone through boxes for two weeks deciding what I could live without. I can't tell you how many boxes we have to set up in the morning, but a lot. I've priced some as I go and I need to go back to Wal-Mart and get more price stickers.

It is amazing what accumulates through the years. Some of the things I'm selling belonged to my parents. They were married almost 69 years and there was a lot of stuff my mother had saved. I found boxes and large envelopes that said, "Look at these when I'm gone."

That is something I am trying to eliminate for my children. I know I'm not going to be around forever, so I have started giving my children things before I'm gone. I don't know whether they appreciate it or not, but I want them to have certain things. Things that will remind them of family.

We are ready to load up the remainder of the boxes today, go to the bank and get change, and other things on my list. It will be a busy week-end, and I'll be glad when it's over. I hope I'll have a lot less junk around my house.
