Motto to Live By

This is on a plaque in my doctor's office. I laugh each time I read it. It's a good way to start the day.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screeming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"

How do we live our life? I'm speaking at our Ladies Day in May and this has been on my mind a lot. So many people in this world think only about themselves. Really God should be the center of our life.

When I found this little saying yesterday, I thought this would be good to use in the lesson I will be presenting. Each life should be lived to it's fullest with God as the center. It is so much fun to be a Christian. Our life is to glorify God and keep His commandments.

I try to do this in my writing, to show the glory of God. With all that goes on in the world, it is hard sometimes to be a good example. Life is not about me, it's about God.
